Setting up the 'Purchase' Way to Earn

Awarding points for purchases is one of the main drivers of customer engagement for your Loyalty Program. You can reward a fixed amount of points based on how much the customer spends, most commonly this is usually 1 point per $1 spent.

  1. From the Loyalty Wizard App navigation select 'Loyalty Program'

  2. In the 'Earning Points' section cilck 'edit' under the purchase rule

  3. Configure the amount of points per spend you wish to award customers

  4. If you want to disable reward points for items that are on sale you can check the box with this option. This will prevent customers from earning points on sale items.

  5. If you want to disable reward points when a customer uses a discount (e.g. a discount code) then enable this option

Common questions

Can I delete the 'Purchase' Way to Earn?

No, but you can turn the rule off. This will prevent new customers from earning points after placing orders in your store. Simply toggle the rule with the button.

What happens when an order is cancelled or refunded?

Our app reviews the order status of an order, so points are added after the order is created. If the order is canceled or refunded, the points are automatically cancelled.
